Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Rick Houenipwela met with Australian Foreign Minister Senator Penny Wong on the margins of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The discussions focused on the ongoing and progressive dialogue between Solomon Islands and Australia towards finalising the treaty arrangements between the two countries.
Both Ministers reaffirmed the strength and enduring nature of the Solomon Islands–Australia relationship, noting the importance of continued engagement in further strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing areas of mutual interest.
