The other clinics that will remain open are Naha, Kukum, Mataniko and the Pikinini clinics including a Dental clinic for central Honiara.
He said Bokona, Seif Place and Rove clinics will also remain open including White River clinic to serve the far west Honiara residents. Only Vura and Bokonavera clinics will be closed during the lockdown.
“We will streamline the process to the national referral hospital, we will organize the transport for the sick if the case needs to go to the NRH,” he said.
He said doctors and nurses will be stationed in these clinics, and they are the first point of contacts for sick patients.
“We encourage those who are sick to call in these clinics first so that we stabilize the patient first before and we will contact specialist doctors from the National Referral Hospital and refer you to them,” he added.
Dr Becha said women who experience abuse can call Seif Place.
He said the lockdown will test how HCC will continue to deliver services to the Honiara populace.
Police should be informed of any serious case and then call the Health Emergency Operation Center or Hospital Emergency.
HCC mobile team will go around to communities in Honiara to re-emphasize this.
