Preparations for the Small Malaita 2016 Yam Cultural Festival are currently progressing well.
The event is set to commence from 22nd to 28th this month at Pululaha near Afio.
Office Manager of Secretariat Mr George Awa told SIBC News, ground works are in final touches.
Awa said participants now look forward to the event.
“Everyone is busy finalising things up participating groups are also looking forward to showcasing the Small Malaitan culture. Some government officials will also be attending especially from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and corporate bodies in Honiara, business houses will also be participating in the festival.”
Meanwhile, Mr Awa encourages all interested groups and individuals to attend the event.
