The Governor General Sir Frank Ofagioro Kabui has announced the 2017 Honours and Awards in his New Year’s Eve message.
The Honours and Awards are duly recommended by the Honours and Awards Committee, approved by the Prime Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare and endorsed by Her Majesty the Queen.
“Officer of the British Empire (OBE); Neptune Alegana Lopu for long and dedicated service in education as a teacher, community development and service to the Government and the Christian Fellowship Church. Joyce Mary Halu for long and dedicated service to the Government and the people of Solomon Islands as a nurse.”
