A 55 year old Taiwanese national who escaped from a court ruling in 2009 was re-arrested by police.
A statement from the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, RSIPF, said this was after the accused and his co-offender have failed to pay out a large sum of money against them in 2009.
It adds, the arrest came after members of RSIPF, CID and CRU staged a successful investigation and arrested him at his Mbokonavera resident.
Police alleged the two Asian male suspects were charged with one count of false declaration for tax invasion and exporting prohibited tubi species.
The accused is expected to reappear in court at later date.
Police are warning all citizens to abide by the law at all times as anyone found to bend state laws will be held accountable for their actions.
