The ‘Solomon Islands Access to Justice’ study has concluded that most Solomon Islanders continue to rely on traditional justice systems.
Both men and women rely on village chiefs and church leaders for resolving disputes across a range of issues.
They perceived these community leaders as the most effective justice institution in the country. It is 90 percent accessible and 82 percent capable of resolving disputes.
