The Australian Prime Minister, Honourable Tony Abbott has conveyed his best wishes to the Government and people of Solomon Islands on the country’s 37th Independence Anniversary.
In a letter to his Solomon Islands counterpart Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, the Australian Prime Minister says the past year has demonstrated the strength and warmth of the Australia-Solomon Islands relationship.
The letter says we share a commitment to peace and prosperity in the Pacific region.
