All election materials for tomorrow’s polling day have now arrived safely at their respective polling stations across the country.
Chief Electoral Officer, Mose Saitala corroborated just before this bulletin went to air, deployed field officers and their equipment, materials and kitswere now at post.
He added, working ahead, SIEO’s focus was now on counting.
Mr Saitala encouraged voters to prepare and go early to their polling stations.
Polls open at 7am tomorrow.
Meanwhile, more than 1,700 Police and Correctional Service officers are now at their locations around the country taking charge of tomorrow’s polling day security.
This is the biggest security operation ever mounted by the RSIPF and CSSI.
Royal Solomon Islands Police Force Commissioner Mathew Varley said, this was because of a whole range of factors- especially a 20 percent rise of polling stations around the country.
He said, police would provide security for a total of 1,043 polling booths right around the country.
Commissioner Varley said, with less than 24 hours to polling day, Police intelligence was watching and listening very carefully although no interference is detected.
