The MP for Lau Mbaelelea Augustine Auga has been cleared off all criminal charges against him.
The Magistrate Court withdrew the common assault charges against Auga following his reconciliation with the victims on Wednesday.
The charges were withdrawn under section 35 of the Magistrate’s Court Act.
The intimidation charge against the MP was also withdrawn because there was insufficient evidence.
Hon. Auga was arrested and charged early this year in relation to an incident November last year, at the Burns Creek settlement.
