The Bahomea Communities have maintained their stand to stop compulsory acquisition pursued by the Tina Hydro project office and the government.
The Bahomea communities have denied any process since the government ignored the normal customary land ownership by the people of Bahomea.
Community Representative Wilfred Maneisu said Bahomea people will maintain their stand not to involve in any related issue to develop the hydro project within the Tina area.
“We will continue not to involve in any hydro-related activity, also we are making it clear that we will not allow any access through Bahomea or through Tina community road up to where the project is built. We will maintain that there will be no access to the hydro project site.”
Mr Maneisu adds Bahomea community will only accept any development phase if the government recognise the other 23 tribes of Bahomea under the project.
SIBC News understands, four core tribes have already signed the Tina Hydro Project process agreement.
