BSP Country Manager, David Anderson says that this year’s Go Green Annual Clean Up day will be coordinated through its partnerships and with selected sportsmen and sportswomen of the Solomon Islands.
Mr Anderson also said, it is important that children and adults are reminded to be responsible and to keep our streets, beaches, parks, and public areas clean.
For this Clean Up Campaign, BSP has established partnerships with the Honiara City Council, SIBC, Solomon Star Limited, Island Sun, Youth at Work, Pathfinder Club, and the Bahai Youth.
The Bank also has partnerships with 13 registered Schools in Honiara, and four community schools adopted by BSP’s provincial branches at Auki, Gizo, Munda and Noro.
Meanwhile, 200 odd students and staff at the St Nicholas Secondary School are expected to witness the official launching of the Go Green School Clean Up Day tomorrow.
A further sixteen schools are also participating in this weekend’s clean-up.
All BSP staff nationwide will join the schools for the clean-up and the Bank is supporting the school students with merchandise and garbage bags and gloves.
The Clean Up Day will be launched by the BSP Country Manager David Anderson at the St Nicholas Secondary School at 8am tomorrow morning.
