C.B.S.I WARNS PUBLIC AGAINST NEW PONZI SCHEME IN TOWN

The Central Bank of Solomon Islands is has warned Solomon Islanders against investing with JJ ARK Investment- a new ponzi scheme in town.

CBSI’s Director of Financial Intelligence Unit, SIFIU, Jimmy Sandersley says the scheme is similar to the 5 Golden Dreams
Investment being promoted in Lata, Temotu Province, Noro in the Western Province and Honiara by some individuals.

He says the JJ Ark Investment is being promoted by a person by the name of John Pegoa who resides at GPPOL 2, Guadalcanal plains.

Mr. Pego is also operating a retail shop at GPPOL 2 from where he operates the money scheme.

Mr Sandersley says CBSI believes, the scheme has links with a person from Makira by the name of John who is purportedly involved in the promotion of the 5 Golden Dreams Investment, working with John Pegoa promoting the JJ Ark Investment.

Perpetrators of this scheme are asking people to pay $250.00 for one ticket and expect a return of $5,000 within a week or two, a 1,900 percent return on investment.

Mr Sandersley says, JJ Ark Investment is giving false hope to participants. He explains, JJ Ark Investment does not have an account in any of the banks in the country and people must not be fooled.
