A 26-year-old male has died yesterday after he was allegedly attacked with a knife by his drinking partner at Ranadi in Honiara. Police Commissioner Matthew Varley told journalists today that the deceased is believed to be part Malaita and Temotu.

People of Irrigilla North Vella La Vella finally ended their Christmas and New Year celebration program over the weekend. The program which started on the 20th of December last year attracted more than 2,000 people from surrounding villages and island, even those from afar.

291 ARRESTS MADE OVER FESTIVE SEASON
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has made 108 arrests for traffic offences and a further 183 cases for disorderly conduct during the festive season. This statistics is for offences reported right across the country. Most of these cases have already been committed to court for trial.
