The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, John Wasi is calling on all its partners to seriously consider cultural development in Solomon Islands.
Forum Solomon Islands International reports, Mr. Wasi made the call last week as Solomon Islands prepare to send its cultural contingent to participate in the 5th Melanesian Festival of Arts and Culture in Papua New Guinea.
The success of hosting the 11th Festival of Pacific Arts in the country provided an opportunity for our leaders and stakeholders to realize the important contribution of culture towards socio-economic development.
