An elderly man, facing counts of rape and indecent assault, will appear again at the Magistrates Court later this month.
The 72 year old man, from Isabel Province, is a self-proclaimed custom doctor.
His victim was a girl who had gone to him for healing, but instead he allegedly raped and indecently assaulted her as part of his healing rituals.
He faces two counts of rape and one count of indecent assault.
The crimes took place on unknown dates between January and November last year, at Tirotona Village, in the Maringe Highlands of Isabel.
The Office of the Director of Public prosecutions will be handling the case.
The custom doctor will appear before Court on January 24.
