Over 100 patients in Malu’u, were fortunate to receive dental services delivered to them at the Malu’u hospital.
A dental team from Kilu’ufi hospital in Auki toured Malu’u last week.
SIBC’s stringer in Malu’u, Lensley Kwaimani reported Nurse-In-Charge at the Malu’u hospital, Lawrence Irobaea as saying the visit was aimed at bringing dental health services down to people in the communities where it was inaccessible.
“Mr Irobaea said the aim of this dental tour is to bring dental services right down to the rural areas where dental services are inaccessible. He said many times in the past only people who can afford traveling expenses to and from Kilu’ufi can receive dental services. The nurse said many people who cannot be able to afford traveling expenses continue to long for immediate dental services.”
Nurse-In-Charge Mr Irobaea calls on all Malu’u residents to take good care of their dental and oral health and encouraged parents to do the same for their children.
He also thanked the Maliata Provincial Health authorities for facilitating the tour.
SIBC News understands, the tour was the second of its kind for Malu’u hospital.
