Construction of the Coral Sea Cable System and Solomon Islands Domestic Network is now complete and both will be ready for use early next year.
The Australian High Commission Office in Honiara confirmed in a statement.
This comes after 18 months of planning and construction, it adds.
It says the 5,500 km cable will provide faster, more reliable and more affordable Internet access to the people of Solomon Islands.
This project is a strong demonstration of Australia’s commitment to transformative economic development in the Pacific including the Solomon Islands.
