The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) will later provide legal opinion into the alleged breach of electoral act by the Chief of Staff within the Prime Minister’s Office Robson Djokovic.
It was alleged that Mr Djokovic was an Australian citizen and was given the rights to register as a registered voter during the 2019 general election.
Deputy Police Commissioner Ian Vaevaso told local journalists that report into the investigation was handed to the DPP recently.
Mr Vaevaso says, charges will be made according to the DPP’s discretion.
“Update on the investigation into the alleged breach of electoral act by the Chief of Staff within the Prime Minister’s Office, I’d like to confirm that the file case was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution and we are waiting the DPP on what charges to be made by police against him. As you all aware, Djokovic was interviewed on 20th June 2020 and a file was forward to the Office of the DPP for their legal opinion.”
Mr. Djokovic is the current PMO Chief of staff, president of Our Party, and DBSI director.
