The recently reshuffled ministers have taken their oath at the government house in a swearing-in ceremony.
The two ministers are Dr Culvick Togamana who was formerly the Minister for Environment, and the former Minister for Health and Medical Services Hon. Dickson Mua.
In an exclusive interview with SIBC News, Dr Togamana said, the decision to move on to the Ministry Health is none other than the prerogative decision of the Prime Minister, not as what’s has been debated on the media.
“Let me assure the public that the decision to move on to the ministry of environment is the prerogative decision of the Prime Minister. Debates on both the mainstream and social media with regard to my appointment are mere speculations. The newspapers don’t even talk to me before making their publications.”
He said he is humbled and has accepted to take up the challenge, as his new ministry is one of the biggest ministries that require greater commitment.
“I am humbled to have this appointment with the trust our prime minister have on us, knowing very well that this is a challenging undertaking as this is one of the biggest ministries.”
Dr Togamana assured the nation, he will continue to support the country, to ensuring it remains COVID-19 free.
He acknowledges his predecessor, Hon. Mua for the job well done since the COVID-19 outbreak.
