A below normal rainfall is most likely for most parts of the country during the period August to October this year.
The monthly Climate Update, Climate Outlook and the Drought Watch for this month said below normal rainfall is likely for Auki, Henderson, Kirakira, Lata and Taro while Honiara expects a normal rainfall.
It said the country is now moving into dry season, from June to September and with the current El Nino condition continues to persist throughout the year, most parts of the country are likely to experience drier than below normal rainfall.
