Parliament has today passed the “Constitutional (Amendment) (Dual Citizenship) Bill 2018”.
The Bill to allow for dual citizenship passed through the Committee of the Whole House without amendments.
It was passed through collection of voice voting in its third reading.
A one third majority vote of 41 was secured in the Third Reading with seven absentees.
SIBC News is aware its complementing bill the”Citizenship Bill 2017″ has passed through second reading today.
