The first election petition case following this year’s National General Elections has been filed at the High Court of Solomon Islands yesterday.
The Civil Case number 254 of 2019 was filed by Petitioner, Harry Philip who contested the Lau/Mbaelelea constituency seat in last month’s election.
Mr. Harry is suing the current Member of Parliament for that constituency, Hon. Augustine Maeue Auga for allegations of bribery, undue influence, interfering with ballot boxes and ballot boxes that have been tampered with, contrary to the Electoral Act 2018.
