A five days workshop on Fisheries management ends successfully in Rara, East Are’are.
The workshop aims to provide fisheries officers with basic marine fisheries management skills in East and West Are’are.
Fisheries Assistant Officer for Afio Sub-Centre Charles Bole told SIBC News the workshop provides new ways to control and better manage sea resources.
“It was at this training that all participants realise its importance, especially the young generation who are starting to lose some of the traditional ways of keeping our sea or marine resources.”
The workshop was organized by World Vision and facilitated by the Malaita Province Fisheries Office.
