Former High Court Judge, Justice Stephen Pallaras is one of the likely candidates to Chair the Government’s new Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).
Special Secretary to the Prime Minister Rence Sore said Justice Pallaras is one of the candidates.
Mr Sore said the Government is still working on its new Anti-corruption policy so the appointment is still to be finalised.
SIBC News understands Justice Pallaras has already received an official letter from the Prime Minister’s office offering him the position.
The former judge who left the country last year has been very vocal about the urgent need for Solomon Islands to have its own Independent Commission Against Corruption.
