The government owned Tenavatu Cattle farm project on North Guadalcanal is poorly managed.
An eyewitness claimed, he saw cattle from the farm being slaughtered and taken away by people other than the rightful owners even last week
He said from his investigation, outsiders slaughter these animals and sell them to Honiara restaurants.
The eyewitness said it is difficult to judge if the two farmers stationed on site to look after the farm are doing enough to protect these animals.
He added the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock must do something about the security of this national project.
