A community elder in Honiara has called on the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) Government to publicly declare the contents of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) report.
Charles Lesimaoma told SIBC News, while he appreciates DCC for its commitment to deal with corruption in the country, it should also declare the TRC report to the people of Solomon Islands.
He said people in the country ought to know about the report so as to move on without suspicion and uncertainty.
“The DCC Government must come out with the TRC report made it public so that people can be made aware of its contents, its benefits and risks so that we can move on into the future without suspicion. By doing so, it will put to rest suspicions and false stories.”
The community leader said it is important for the government to settle the TRC report, before embarking on eliminating corruption in the country.
