Minister for Mines and Rural Electrification Moses Garu has said the NCRA government is serious and committed to ensure a reliable Electricity supply in the country.
Moses Garu made the statement during the commissioning of SIEA’s two new gen sets this morning.
He says, the more than 60 million dollars project aims to supply power to areas outside of Honiara boundary where there used to be no power supply.
“Ladies and gentlemen the NCRA Government is serious and committed in ensuring that reliable and efficient electricity supply is delivered to the population of the country as well as ensuring that this commodity is also affordable, though it is difficult to electrify the whole country within a short period of time”.
Minister Garu adds strengthening electricity and SIEA’s financial status will help the country deliver successful electricity services.
