The current state of Public Emergency is opened for further extension.
Attorney General, John Muria Junior stated yesterday on the national broadcaster-SIBC.
The Attorney General explains the government can delay the current emergency period to accommodate the return of our
nationals abroad so that they can undergo 28 days quarantine period upon their arrival.
“The first lot of repatriated citizens are here, quarantined for 28 days, and the second lot will come thereafter. This will surely go beyond the SOPE period. With this challenge foreseen, the government will re-look at extending the state of public emergency period.”
SIBC News understands the current state of public emergency will be de-activated on the 25th of July 2020.
