The Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition Honorable Jeremiah Manele has urged the Government to carry out an immediate investigation into the current Solomon Airlines saga.
Mr. Manele made this call when delivering his speech on the Sine Dire motion in Parliament on Monday.
The Leader of Opposition’s comment came at the back of the management’s unpopular decision to sack chief pilot of Solomon Airlines Captain Gibson Galo.
The termination has attracted criticisms from the public in which Mr. Manele calls on the Government to consider.
He says the latest dismissal of the chief pilot of Solomon Airlines calls for an immediate investigation into the airlines board and management.
Honorable Manele says issues affecting the Airlines management need to be urgently fixed.
He says Solomon Airlines is our flag carrier, a national entity that needs to be protected by all means against odds that may distort its smooth operations.
