The Rapid Employment Project (REP) has equipped the Honiara City Council (HCC) with 60 new sets of 240-liter capacity wheelie bins, which will be distributed among 18 HCC-administered schools in the City.
REP Project Manager Salvador Jiao officially handed the bins over to the HCC City Clerk Charles Kelly, saying it is part of REP’s ongoing support to HCC’s continuous programs in keeping Honiara clean.
An earlier statement from REP said earlier this year it has handed over a new compactor garbage truck to HCC, a sludge removal vacuum truck, 300 empty drums and 52 tins of paint, all in support of the city’s environmental cleanliness program.
