A happy family in a happy society is a must for Solomon Islands to progress with the socio-economic development.
Permanent Secretary for Justice and Legal Affairs, Freddie Me’esa made the statement during the launching of the 16 Days of Activism against gender based violence in Honiara.
Mr Me’esa stressed, socio-economic development rides on a happy family.
“And when the family is happy it produces a happy and healthy society and a happy country. A happy family in a healthy society is a must for Solomon Islands. This is important in order to progress with our socio-economic developments
The Permanent Secretary adds, women will not engage in economic activities if they face fear, hatred and insecurity.
“Women especially cannot concentrate to engage in small economic activities to develop their families if they live in fear, hatred and are not secure in their homes.”
