Prime Minster Manasseh Sogavare has called on Solomon Islanders to have a passion for business development.
He made the call recently during the launch of the locally-owned fuel depot, the ‘Didao Refueling Station’ in east Honiara.
Mr Sogavare said he acknowledged that it is often difficult for individual Solomon Islanders to start pursuing self-employment.
But he adds, if business-minded Solomon Islanders work together with business institutions in the country, they can become successful as this can eventually grow the country’s economy.
“Our challenge, of course, is to get more Solomon Islanders to be interested in self-employment.
