The demographic and health survey 2015 in North Malaita has successfully covered 15 communities six months after it started.
The survey was part of the National health and Demographic survey launched in April this year.
Team leader of the North Malaita group Wilson Iroi says his teams has successfully conducted the survey in fifteen communities.
Mr Iroi says data collected from the survey will assist the country’s policy makers and donor partners regarding health.
He says it will also assist with up-to-date information towards the country’s millennium development goals.
“The millennium goals will end this year 2015 and as far as I understand, from next year on we will have sustainable goals. Now part of that is this survey to help the government to have up-to-date information especially from the communities so that they will act on them.”
