Health workers around the country are undertaking a one-week training on integrated management of Severe Acute Malnutrition, SAM, in Solomon Islands.
The training, funded by UNICEF, is to equip health workers to better manage acute malnutrition in hospital and clinics around the country.
Officially opening the training this morning, Chief of the UNICEF Solomon Islands Field Office, Yon Jong Kang said the training will help Solomon Islands practice for integrated management of severe acute malnutrition to the rest of the pacific.
