The main entrance to the Honiara Central Market will now close at 6pm.
Honiara City Council Communications said closing at 6pm will give workers time to clean the market and allow market officers to complete their tasks earlier.
The market’s main entrance gate will be open from 6am to 6pm Monday through Saturday.
The exit gate will close at 7pm to allow vehicles to leave the market area.
HCC Communications said these are the normal operating hours for the market starting this week.
Market officers will monitor the main entrance to ensure the public is complying with the new hours.
