Honiara residents are advised to take security measures as the number of burglary incidents have increased in town.
Deputy Police Commissioner Juanita Matanga said so far more incidents have come to police attention.
She says the following areas and premises should take precautionary measures against such burglary incidents.
“In relation to break-ins I would like to encourage those areas like Ranadi, Kukum, the Honiara central areas to take precautionary measures to ensure that at the end of the day their premises are properly secured to reduce the break-in incidents coming to our attention.”
SIBC News understands, police will be conducting a small-scale operation to crack down on unwanted activities in Honiara this weekend.
