Honiara residents have been urged to be cautious of petty theft and burglaries as the country enters the pre-Christmas season.
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast told his weekly media conference today, historically, petty theft and burglaries may arise in this time of the year.
“Just a warning to people we’re moving into the pre-Christmas environment, we know from the past that there’s historically a rise in petty theft and burglaries around this time of the year so I am just advising people to tak proper precaution to protect their valuable properties. Make sure their doors are locked that they secure their valuables.”
