Solomon Islands has a new Attorney General.
He is former High Court judge, James Apaniai.
Mr Apaniai was sworn in as Attorney General at the Government House last Friday.

His swearing in was witnessed by his family members, Chairman of the Public Service Comission – Eliam Tangirongo, Secretary to Cabinet James Remobatu and Permanent Secretary for Justice and Legal Affairs -Fred Mesa.
Lawyer Billy Titiulu had formerly held the position.
