The 2014 United States Secretary of State’s International Women of Courage Award was awarded to Jane Tozaka, Provincial Member for Irigila Ward 10 in Vella La Vella, Western Province.
Mrs Tozaka received her award from the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ambassador Dennis Mathieu in Honiara yesterday.
Jane Tozaka’s award recognizes her courage, strength, political leadership and advocating for good governance and women’s equality in Solomon Islands.
