Kurukuru’s Brazilian Head Coach Juliano Schmeling said he is very proud of the team’s performance at the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia.
He said Kurukuru has performed well at the world stage, representing Solomon Islands at the world game.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian Coach said it will be important to further develop the sports here in Solomon Islands, the home of Futsal in the Oceania.
“…not just for Kurukuru, not just the senior squad but for the whole country involving projects for the kids, youth programs. Maybe when you have a venue that can host friendly games, international games, we can host school competitions and develop Kurukuru youth teams to prepare for the next generation”.
Kurukuru proved their strength, scoring against Argentina and Costa Rica and playing their quick and completely unpredictable style until the end of every match.
