A key witness to a murder-drowning committed in 2010 was cross-examined in Court this morning.
The witness is claiming to have seen the killing and drowning of a man at Tamone settlement, Sun Valley in May 2010.
He was only twelve years old at the time of the incident.
The trial started in May this year but was adjourned after his testimony.
Police allege the deceased had caused a disturbance during a fundraising program at the Tamone Settlement on the night of May 23, 2010.
The accused was allegedly part of a group of men who chased after the deceased.
During cross-examination in Court this morning, defense lawyer Hubert Fugui asked the witness his location, when the accused allegedly attacked the deceased.
The witness replied he was under a banana tree, and was still there when he saw the accused and another man carry the deceased and throw him into the river.
His body was found the next day.
The trial continues.
