The Ministry of Lands will soon allocate plots at April Ridge to victims of the April floods.
A total of 268 plots is available on April Ridge.
In an interview with SIBC News this week, the Commissioner of Lands Nelson Naoapu confirmed the Land Board will allocate the plots.
“As you might be aware, we put it on a public tender so 268 plots are there and about one thousand plus people submitted their applications. So everything has been done, the Ministry has input all the information, the survey has been done. All that is left is to put them to the board so that they will do the allocation.”
Meanwhile, the lands Commissioner says people are already living on April ridge and this is a challenge the Ministry will address.
