Lata Community High School in Temotu province has received a historic visit from the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Dr Franco Rodie visited the Community High School Monday this week.
School Principal Simon Mekope told SIBC News Dr Rodie was the first PS to visit them and it has been a joy.
“We are very happy to have the PS of the Ministry of Education, Dr Franco Rodie to have visited us at the Lata Community High School. We are very happy because he’s the first government PS to visit us here at Lata, despite our remoteness.”
Meanwhile, Mr Mekope adds the Permanent Secretary also briefed them on Ministry developments.
“The PS updated us on happenings at the Ministry as well as encourage them to continue to work hard and maintain the goals of education which are access, quality and managing limited school resources that we have.”
