Police investigations continue regardless how long an offender has been on the run, says Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast.
Asked whether police still continue its investigations on fugitive Edmond Sae, Commissioner Prendergast says like other offenders, Mr Sae may run and try to hide but the law will eventually overpower him.
“All I will say on that point is that we are active and I’ll leave it at that, it’s not appropriate to talk about operational activity but it’s not only Mr Sae but any other wanted person. We’re very actively trying to ensure that those people face justice as they need to and we will continue to do so. I think we’ve had some quite good success over the last 12 months in bringing some people who have been wanted for quite a long time before the courts. I would also say that we would welcome any support from the community in achieving those outcomes.”
