Deputy Prime Minster Manasseh Maelanga has acknowledged development potential of Malaita Province as the province has successfully celebrated its 31 Second Appointed Day last Friday.
SIBC’s Malu’u Stringer Lensley Kwaimany reported Mr Maelanga made the statement as the province successfully hosted a number of important development projects.
Deputy Prime Minister Maelanga said the success of the projects showed the province is ready to host other major developments.
“The Deputy Prime Minister also said Malaita has a great potential to become a prosperous province. He also acknowledged and congratulated Malaita Province for the successful completion of the Auki market and wharf developments. He said these two projects have given a face lift to Auki as well as sets a clear message that Malaita Province is prepared to host major projects and other development undertakings.”
SIBC News understands the celebration was marked at Malu’u Station, North Malaita Constituency.
