A Malaita Business woman has described the recent Malaita Conference as male-dominated.
Ruth Maetala said while the conference contributes to development, there’s very little women participation.
“Such conferences are good but at the same time they are more male-dominated than women.”
Mrs Maetala also adds, if Malaita women are really serious about contributing to the development of their province, they need to take more assertive role to work with the province and push women issues onto the provincial agenda.
“If Malaita women are really serious to contribute to the development of the province I think they should take a more assertive role to work with the province to put women on the agenda.”
