Malaita Province has a new Policy Strategy document.
The Provincial Government officially launched the document in a ceremony that Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare attended in Auki, Malaita Province today.
The Prime Minister was invited by the newly elected Malaita Premier Peter Ramohia.
Speaking at the launch today, Premier Ramohia says he believes his government is doing what is necessary for Malaita Province.
“Let me just remind us of the words of St Francis of Assisi and I quote “start by doing what is necessary and do what’s possible and certainly you are doing the impossible.” Yes, I certainly believe that the development and launching of this Policy Strategy is a demonstration of my MART Government doing what is necessary. Through this policy strategy also we can already see what is possible. With commitment, consistency and the grace of God Almighty Malaita will be doing the impossible.”
