The Ministry of Health and Medical Services applauds the Republic of China (Taiwan) Government’s continued support towards the newly refurbished National Referral Hospital (NRH).
NRH Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Steve Aumanu made the acknowledgement.
The project includes renovations of the General Outpatient Clinics, Entrance of the Emergency Wards, Outpatient Toilets and one wing of Postnatal Ward and building a new corridor- completed in the period from November 2015 to January 2016.
Dr. Aumanu says the maintenance and renovation of the NRH is a challenge and should be regarded as a long-term plan implemented stage by stage.
He says the project has progressed well and the repair work enabled the NRH Outpatient and Emergency Department to improve the triage process for patients and improve the ventilation and cooling system, among others.
He adds the cleanliness of the environment has improved compared to previous years.
ROC has supported the Government in many development fronts including agriculture, health and others.
