A signatory for the Tambobo Hasuma Tribe is demanding money from the Saint Barabra company before it begins operations on Gold ridge instead of a traditional “Chupu” ceremony planned.
Paul Voromate says the Chairman of the Goldridge Landowners Association has informed him of a “Chupu” ceremony planned for the 16 tribes whose land the company will operate on.
But Mr Voromate says he doesn’t agree with the practise of mixing culture and business.
