More support has been pledged from overseas governments and other donor partners to help current relief efforts for victims of last week’s flash flooding.
NDMO Director Loti Yates said the US Government will provide one-hundred thousand US dollars for the delivery of emergency relief items and water, sanitation and hygiene assistance for disaster affected communities.
Turkey’s Government also pledged 30-thousand US dollars, while the Republic of China Taiwan Government pledged one-hundred thousand US dollars and the Australian Government increased its support to 3-million Australian dollars.
